Troubleshooting BedJet Heating Issues
If you encounter problems with your BedJet’s heating function, such as a total loss of heat or the unit is not reaching the desired temperature, rest assured—we’ve got you covered. Follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Step 1: Reset the Thermal Protection Switch
The Thermal Protection Switch can deactivate the BedJet’s heating element in specific situations, such as when Turbo heating is used repeatedly.
- Power Off: Completely power off your BedJet unit.
- Unplug: Unplug the BedJet from the wall outlet.
- Wait: Leave the BedJet unplugged for 1 minute.
- Restart: Plug the BedJet back in and turn it on.
- Cool Mode: Run the BedJet on Cool mode for at least 2 minutes.
- Switch to Heat: After the cooldown period, switch to Heat mode and check if the issue persists.
Step 2: Check Power Source
- Ensure that the BedJet is directly plugged into a wall outlet. Some power strips or extension cords may not provide the appropriate power needed for the BedJet’s heat modes.
Step 3: Extreme Cold Rooms
- If you’re using the BedJet in extremely cold rooms (such as temperatures in the 50s or below), be aware that the BedJet heater may have trouble reaching the highest temperature settings.
