How to Pair Your BedJet 3 Remote with PowerLayerUpdated 2 months ago
If you own both a BedJet 3 and a PowerLayer, your BedJet 3 remote can control both devices for seamless functionality. Follow these steps to pair and update your BedJet 3 remote for use with the PowerLayer.
- Unplug your BedJet 3 devices. For Split King beds, ensure only one PowerLayer frame is plugged in. This step is essential for updating the firmware on your BedJet 3 remote correctly.
- Pair Your BedJet 3 Remote with PowerLayer
- On the BedJet 3 remote, go to MENU → DEVICE PAIRING → ADD DEVICE.
- Quickly put the PowerLayer into pairing mode using one of these two methods:
- If you have access to the original PowerLayer remote
- On the PowerLayer remote, press and hold ⚙ + FLAT simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- If you no longer have access to the original PowerLayer remote
- Remove the mattress from your PowerLayer frame to directly access the frame
- Fold the head side of the PowerLayer over to access the underside of the frame
- Locate the black control box with a solid green light (see below for reference):
- Press and hold the green pairing button on the PowerLayer control box until the light flashes green
- If you have access to the original PowerLayer remote
- Complete the Firmware Update
- Once pairing is successful, the LCD Remote will prompt you to update its firmware. After the update completes, the remote is ready to use with PowerLayer.
- If you are re-pairing your existing remote or pairing a replacement remote provided by BedJet, this step will be skipped, and the remote will connect automatically.
- Reconnect Your BedJet 3 Devices
- Plug your BedJet 3 devices back in after the firmware update is complete.
- If you own a Split King PowerLayer with separate Twin XL adjustable frames, repeat step 2 to pair your remote to the second Twin XL frame, if needed.
- Switching Between Paired Devices
- To switch between your paired BedJet and PowerLayer devices, press the left or right arrow keys from the remote’s main screen.
